Made close to where you practice, this technical and lightweight freeride ski jacket is made in France to the south of Lyon. This technical freeride ski jacket uses a seamless and waterproof glue assembly process. It will protect you and get forgotten with its light weight on all your adventures
Design and assembly in France
We manufacture this jacket at TopTex3, known for its technical expertise in glue assembly.
In real terms, once each piece of the jacket is cut it’s assembled together by hand using a press and glue instead of the usual machine and thread. Visually, you will have a very sleek seamless jacket.
A warm lining has been selected for inner insulation and assembled by ultrasound for an elegant finish.
Waterproofing of the jacket
To go beyond an indicative value of waterproofing, at Decathlon we test all our waterproof products in the laboratory. How do we carry out this test? We have an articulated model that wears the jacket and then spends a few hours under a shower.
Using this test, we can confirm that the jacket protects you from snowfall or an intense shower of 18 cm in 3 hours.
Technical components
– Laminated with a membrane and single component 100% polyester fabric providing all the prerequisites to the circular economy:
100% polyester membrane
The outer fabric is 84% recycled polyester (made from PET bottles)
– European origin

Washing
The less you wash your garment, the longer it will last and you’ll do good for the planet too.
We have purposefully lined the inside front neck with the outer fabric to make hand washing easier.
Note: we’re talking about the place where sun cream tends to stay…
If you have to machine wash then:
– 30°C maximum and a delicate programme
– 800 turns/min spin
– Above all, do not tumble dry, the glue hates the heat.

What should you put under your jacket?
To keep warm and dry, use the 3-breathable-layers rule:
– 1 ski base layer as layer 1. The base layer keeps you dry by wicking away the perspiration from the skin to the other layers.
– 1 jacket liner as layer 2 to keep warm. it provides warmth, this is the case for down jackets or fleece pullovers.
– 1 ski jacket as layer 3 to protect against bad weather.

What is the RECCO® system?
All our Freeride jackets and trousers are equipped with the RECCO® system.
With RECCO® technology, you can be located in the event of an avalanche. Someone who is equipped with RECCO® reflectors and is buried in the snow can be quickly and accurately located by the emergency services using the RECCO® tracker. RECCO reflectors are not a substitute for an AVD. The RECCO® technology works as a complementary measure, increasing the chances of being found in time.
